I guess I assumed it was a panic attack. I understand a teeny bit about them, having experienced two or three minor ones in my life, but they were situational, triggered by something potentially dangerous. I didn't realize they could come out of the blue like that, and that they were so debilitating. You're doing a great service sharing your experience so others can hopefully be more compassionate.

Journaling, painting, exercise, FRESH AIR, a glass of cold water, bitching to a friend, and…sometimes yoga but frequently just putting on a podcast and trying to get my brain on something else…🫶🏽
